How crazy am I?

I'm planning to drive to Blythe with just the girls on Friday. Am I absolutely nuts?

Yes, yes you are. I've considered doing it with my kiddos a couple of times but I always came to my senses! I'm just always afraid that something will happen to the car and I'll be stranded and scared, but I think you are tougher than me. I hope your girls like to sleep in the car! If I did the drive I'd have to do it at night so they would sleep and then there's the whole thing like: what I would do with the kids when I had to go to the bathroom and stuff. Good luck!

Well, I have a cell phone and I'll be on the interstate the entire time. When I have to go to the bathroom I'll wear Amelia and put Elizabeth in the umbrella stroller, just like I do when I take them to Odessa.

Yes, you are clightly crazy, but when I think about it, I guess it isn't that much more crazy than flying across the country with Gabe and Colin for Lindsey's wedding. With a car at least you can do everything on your own time, but that sure is a long trip. Good luck!

Yes, good luck and drive safely! Also enjoy the warm weather for me. It's snowing here so its not too much fun.

Yes, you are nuts, but it is do-able! I am dreading the 8 hour drive to Florida with Levi with me, although we will still have the same adult to kid ratio, but he can stay in the car for bathroom breaks! Good luck!

ugh... that word verification thing always messes me up... they have h's that look like b', v's next to w's so you do not know which if first... just thought I would vent since I have an easy one now "evbgr" and none of them run together... I seem to always get the weird ones!

I cannot tell you how many times I have messed up on the word verification. It makes me feel like some sneaky spammer or a criminal or something when it doesn't let me through after the first try.

Oh, and when I would travel to the mountains with the kids in the car, if they were asleep and I had to ummm... go #1, I would just find a lonely stretch of road and go beside the car... or "play bear" as my dad would say. This may not be an option you are comfortable with, but for me it was a heck of a lot better than waking up the kids to bring them into a bright gas station so I could do my business! Just a little tip!

Yes, you are crazy... I still want to meet you in Las Cruces, get in your van and go home to Blythe! The van will be fine at Elizabeth Vega's house for the week, when we drive it again!

Think about it, OK.

Oops..didn;t realize the word verification was on! I hate that thing. James is still sick (since Friday afternoon), so I haven't been online much, just catching up on Lost.

Hi Christie~ I am glad that you saw me first! I was coming to your blog next but got busy at work!! But your girls are so cute! I am glad that we are in touch now! It will be fun to see how everyone is doing! I don't know who else has blogs but we should get all the Parkins grandkids to get one! But just wanted to say hi!
